Fright Night (2011)
Charley is a typical high school teenager until he realizes Jerry, the new neighbor, is a vampire preying on the people in his town. To stop Jerry, Charley tries to enlist the help of renowned vampire slayer, Peter Vincent. Here are a few movie mistakes to look for while watching 2011’s “Fright Night”.
· At the beginning of the movie, Charley is watching Doris walk away after putting the trash can out. In the close-up, rear view of Doris, she has walked up the driveway and is beside the car that’s parked there. It cuts to a farther view of Doris, Charley and Jane and Doris is closer to the end of the driveway and is once again walking back toward the house.
· After the car chase, Jerry is telling Charley that he shouldn’t have been nosey when Jane stakes Jerry from behind. In the close-up view, the stake comes through the upper back and out of Jerry’s left shoulder. In the scenes of Jerry on the ground in pain, the stake is in the middle of his back.
· CAUTION: May Contain Spoilers! Charley is fighting with Ed and stakes him. In the rear view of Charley, Ed’s left hand is on the back of Charley’s neck. It cuts to a front view of Charley (rear view of Ed), and Ed’s left hand is in a fist on Charley’s shoulder. The scene cuts back to the original view and Ed’s left hand is once again on the back of Charley’s neck.
· CAUTION: May Contain Spoilers! Charley and Peter are trapped in the basement. Charley asks Peter if he has a light and puts his hood over his head. The hood covers Charley’s face except for his eyes and part of his forehead with no hair visible. Peter asks, “Is that your plan?” and the close-up view of Charley shows his bangs are hanging down from underneath the hood. Charley’s bangs are hidden again when he puts the goggles on.
“Fright Night” (2011) stars Anton Yelchin, Colin Farrell, David Tennant, Toni Collette, Imogene Poots, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Emily Montague, Chris Sarandon, Lisa Loeb, Brian Huskey and Dave Franco. It runs 106 minutes and is rated R for bloody horror violence, and language including some sexual references.
